Ha Tinh trade and tourism festival to open

A trade and tourism festival will be organised in Ha Tinh central province from July 16 to 23 with various activities relating to tourism, culture, exhibition and fair.
 

The festival is held to commemorate the 40th death anniversary of ten female young volunteers who laid their lives at Dong Loc T junction during the war.

The opening ceremony will be held at 7pm with performances recalling glorious history moments in Dong Loc T junction.

Performances during the five nights of the event will feature cultural identities of five provinces in the north-central region, including Thua Thien Hue Quang Tri, Quang Binh, Nghe An and Thanh Hoa.

A sand picture depicting ten heroic martyrs created by artist Y Lan will also be presented to the Dong Loc T junction relic site.

An exchange with historical witnesses will also be organised on July 23.

Along with activities to commemorate the event, an exhibition cum fair with around 500 – 600 stalls will introduce special products of economic sectors at home and aboard. This is to display achievements of Ha Tinh in the renovation period. 

According to the organiser, also the Ha Tinh People’s Committee, the event not only aims to provide a chance for young people to remember the revolutionary tradition of the Vietnamese people but also is an opportunity of co-operation for businesses.
